Title: Book-Keeper & General Office Manager
Location: Westbury, Wiltshire
Salary £21-25k DOE + Excellent Benefits

An opportunity has arisen to join an award winning growing company in Westbury. The Bookkeeper and General Office Manager will report into the Commercial Director and be responsible for:

* Recording financial transactions
* Handling accounts payable and receivable
* Completing tax forms
* Managing profit and loss statements and balance sheets
* Paying regular bills for the Company
* Maintaining Company ledgers
* Processing and paying (or denying) invoices
* Invoicing deliveries and paying vendors for their goods and services
* Maintaining office supplies by keeping an inventory and ordering new as required
* Maintaining petty cash
* Recording cash receipts and handling bank deposits
* Handling company expenses and payroll systems that pay wages and salaries
* Preparing and checking ledger balances and other monthly and yearly accounts
* Preparation of monthly accounts and year end accounts and financial reports
* Completing and submitting tax returns, VAT returns and Intrastat returns
* Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the accounting software - QuickBooks
* Helping qualified accountant with account inspections / audits
* Maintaining cash flow forecasts and monitoring / reporting of working capital
* General day to day management of the office - arranging H&S Checks, PAT Testing, ordering office supplies
* Scheduling meetings and appointments for the Directors
* Greeting visitors and providing general administrative support to the team when required

EXPERIENCE & SHORTLISTING CRITERIA

* 5 years Bookkeeping
* 3+ years preparing management accounts
* Ideally some Office Management Experience

SKILLS

* An interest in business and finance;
* a thorough, methodical and logical approach;
* strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
* strong interpersonal and communication skills;
* excellent commercial acumen
* good IT skills, particularly in the use of spreadsheets;
* self-motivation;
* the ability to work as part of a team;
* the capacity to understand and handle complex information and solve problems;
* the ability to work well under pressure, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines;
* discretion and honesty when handling confidential information.
* Leadership and the ability to 'make things happen'

QUALIFICATIONS
AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians)
IAB (International Association of Bookkeepers)

5 GCSE's to include Maths and English

Good IT and Microsoft Office Skills
